Art of beds, beds can be incorporate your existing bed base or supplied with slatted pine rails or with one of our sprung slatted bases see our full range for sizes and pricing. The timber that we use in most of our beds is iroko which is imported into Mallorca from Africa as a sustainable substitute for teaks, and is commonly referred to as teak here on the island.
Bed Frames And Bases made for comfort & Style
A timber slated base is the one of the most inexpensive and simple mattress support system, consisting of wooden slats usually made of pine, which are fitted in the bed frame, with its modern cousin the sprung slatted base is a bed base constructed with sprung curved wooden slats usually made of beech, which sit within a metal frame. The natural flexibility of the slats means that they will allow your mattress to flex. Both system have the benefit of allowing the mattress to breathe. Most larger beds will have a double spring unit, one on each side, supported by a central rail, which helps to reduces roll together and your sleep being disturbed.
